Frankenstorm - Hurricane Sandy

Meteorologists are forecasting a horror show of high wind, heavy rain, extreme tides along the entire east coast of the USA and possible snow for the northeast. Anyone feeling the effects of Hurricane Sandy?

Terry.......In north central Florida I am getting cloud banding and a steady 10 to 15 mph breeze from the northeast. That's about it. Florida will be spared.

I ain't worried 'bout no stinking hurricane!!!!!!!! It's bright and sunny here.

BTW, is Hurricane Sandy named for a female or a male? The name is sexually ambiguous.

It's a female Gary. The last storm was named Rafael and before that Patty.

I'm getting 50mph gust here in Vero Beach. Not much rain, but there is a stiff breeze.

If I was Ivan, I'd be mildly concerned with the Cape Reference system.. MA is slated to take a beating.

Here's the latest image from NOAA's GOES-13 satellite on Friday, Oct. 26 at 1415 UTC (10:15 a.m. EDT) showing Sandy and a cold front approaching the east coast. A lot of weather in this image.

Great pic Terry. That cold front moved through here last night. The temps fell 20 degrees in about fifteen minutes.
