How many 20 Amp circuits do I need
I am preparing to finish my basement and I was curious how many dedicated 20 amp circuits are necessary.
I was thinking about having 3- 1) for my kitchenette 1) for the components to share 1) for my subwoofers to share (2 jl fathoms) The rest of my lights, etc will be on their own 15amp circuit Is that enough? |
I have 3 dedicated to the 2 channel system. I don’t think you will ever regret having the extra juice. It is much easier to at least wire it now than try to retrofit. I use one for each amp and the third is for the remainder of the system.

I have two for my audio gear, one for the amps alone.

I use one 20A line for each amplifier in my biamped system; one for preamp and analog sources; one for digital sources; one for video; and one for everything else. You'll never regret installing extra lines. |
Thanks all.
Looks like erring on the side of more circuits is the way to go! |
