Pretty sure we'll hear something between now & CEDIA.

Maybe a new C1000 or MVP881 replacement?

How about just hiring some good QC people?

I would like to see if there would be interest to two products:

One would be a stand-alone equalizer. When I read the product descriptions of the C500 and C1000 preamps, the comparagraphs indicate "external" equalization. But McIntosh doesn't really offer anything like that. It can be done with the MEN220, but I'm thinking of something more conventional: a traditional parametric equalizer with knobs.

Another would be a control amplifier without turntable inputs. Just a simple preamp, made more affordable by the absence of MC and MM circuitry.

A big +1 on this one  I think it would also be nice to have the tone controls like the C50 and at least in a tube version, be able to switch off the phono section if not totally removed.

:D
