Bryston 7b3 vs. BHK 300 signature mono blocks
I presently own Mcintosh Mc301's and was wondering if anyone has had
a chance to compare any two or three of these amps. I like the idea of at least 300 watts along with mono blocks ( and cost less than a new car)!! I am posting this on the Bryston forum because I already know the Mc301's |
I have, and favor the Bryston 7B3 by a rather wide margin. The 7B3 is more musical, has a deeper/wider soundstage, and more layered detail.

Thanks Ivan, and knowing you own and enjoy both, that is good
information. |
Buy the 28b3s!

Are the 28b3 better than the 7b3?

Now having the Bryston; the 7b would be steller. |

When I bought mine, I was told there is a distinct difference. The price is somewhat gut wrenching, but I love mine. They sound incredibly open with a very wide and deep sound stage. |
I've not heard the new Brystons but I did compare the older gen Bryston against Electrocompaniet Nemos for my Thiel and I preferred the Nemos.
I recently upgraded to the BHK Monos and couldn't be happier. The transients, the pinpoint imaging, the illusion of instruments hanging precisely in mid air, the ability to resolve so many different instruments playing at the same time - it is uncanny. I am running it in full balanced mode - which I believe does make a difference. |
