BDP-105 as a Preamp?

Was wondering if there were any draw backs to using my Oppo BDP-105 as a preamp?

Only drawback I see is it only has 1 HDMI input and I use 2. Other than that I think it would blow away my Pioneer SC-65 which I’m currently using as my preamp going into my Anthem PVA-7 amp.

Are you sure about that? Mine has 2, one in front and one in the back.
