What are ML owners using to protect against power surges?
I have my stereo equipment surge protected through a Torus power conditioner.
I currently have Impressions but will be moving up to a pair of Renaissance next month. They will be plugged into separate power lines from the rest of my stereo pieces. I am concerned that they could be vulnerable to a power surge/lightning strike and not sure how best to protect them. Appreciate and and all feedback as to what I should do. Thank you! |
Get whole house surge protection installed at your service panel. It is the most effective and protects everything in your home.

Agreed, I use these in my homes (one per 200 amp panel)

IMO - This is a no brainer and will cost anywhere from $3-500 that includes the protector and installation which is somewhat simple but you need electrical experience for safety

Furthermore... I believe in layered surge protection. Ideally at the service entrance first, then at each one of my Systems. This also includes a Shunyata Defender at each location.

In fact, my Florida home even survived a direct lightning strike. |
I have a whole house protector, but also just got a SurgeX XR315 for my ML Expressions, Motif, and LG OLED. My Preamp/Amp run separately off a Running Springs Audio Duke.
