Dear friend from college - pancreatic cancer. Enjoyed all the success he earned and deserved and retired to a severely shortened runway - well beyond his expectations, and mine. Reinforces my bias that today is what we can count on. Thanks to this forum for being a positive force - helps me through the day.

Life throws a lot of crap at us, trust me, I know firsthand. But there’s plenty of silver linings - you just need to know where to look and actually notice them.

Losing a friend or loved one is never easy, but knowing that we have been able to be a part of the life of that person, we can realize that we are blessed to have been able to share in their life before they went to rest in eternal salvation. My condolences and prayers.
