External sound card (actually it's 22-Channel, 24-Bit 192 kHz Bus-powered USB High-Speed Audio Interface) RME Babyface. I made 3 tweaks, now sound is very good, I am still looking for opportunity to make comparison with some DACs.

http://f14.ifotki.info/org/dbd9babd0...4146785082.jpg

-----

It's originally supplied with so called "break-out cable" - ugly shit, which definetely kill the Sound.

http://f14.ifotki.info/org/67782099b...4146785622.jpg

------

So I had to do something. :D

Little bit to work - and voila!

Selfmade Connector VGA-RCA.

Source for musical files:

I temporary use my working PC laptop Acer Apire 6920G (on Nak, right side), but I will shift later to my old PC laptop HP (on vynil player, left side). I am collecting information now to change OS, but looks like no RME drivers for Linux. So most probably I will stay for a while on specially tuned Win XP (so called Game Edition) + Fidelizer + software player S.A.P. (Stealt Audio Player), which give good sound on old laptop HP (we call this brand Harry Potter :D ).

Using USB output from RME Babyface (cable - not expensive QED, but I am waiting on next week USB cable from Sound YP (same ukrainian brand who made my Power Cable for Headphone Amp).

That's all for a while.

I will add some pics later as well as video of System. I already upload 1 video of this System in other thread, but I'm not satisfied by sound quality of my camcorder Sony. I will try again by my new photocamera in HD (ironically it's also SONY!) :D.

and I got 2 news today, I will happy to share:

1. 2 USB cables are underway (same ukrainian brand which photos were uploaded above - Sound YP). Inside: silver cables for signal and copper - for power.

2. 3 items of iFi (daughter company of most famous british AMR) are also underway from Capitol:

a) iDAC
b) iUSBPower
3) iCAN.

Eisener Bart.......Your system is most interesting. The T+A preamp, amplifier, and CD player look excellent. It has been awhile since I have seen an Elac truntable in use. Nice to see the Sansui tuner, too.

Sweet gear Sergio. I really dig the copper tt mat. Nice work with the diy cables.

Thank you, Dan!

My name is Sergio (in signature).

Unfortunately design of T+A is not so impressive, some people make a parallel with medical equipment. I don't care to much about faces of gear - I care about Sound!
