Daedalus Speakers...
I am curious if anyone at AA has experience (either auditioning or owning) Daedalus speakers (and specifically their top-of-the-line Ulysses model)? If yes, how would you describe their sonic signature and what type of amplification are you using? They are high efficiency speakers (and tube friendly in that their impedance seems to stay above 6ohms for the most part), and so should work well with lower wattage SET tube designs. Here is a link to their website: Daedalus Audio Reference Series Speakers

I would recommend contacting/sending a PM to Dan Wright (Modwright) as he is using these as his main speakers in his reference system in his showroom at his facility in Washington State. I know he would be glad to share his thoughts with you on them. You can see pictures of Dan's facility here at AA in the Modwright subforum - http://audioaficionado.org/modwright...html#post48161
I have heard very good things about these speakers but have not had a chance to demo them yet... |
Thx Jeff.

You bet - I hope you are able to talk with Dan, and I will be interested in hearing your impressions of the speakers if you end up auditioning them

Will let you know if I do. Thx
