Listening to . . . A MFSL SACD

Patricia Barber - Companion

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA300_.jpg

This album starts with "The Beat Goes On" on which Patricia Barber plays a mean Hammond B-3 organ - This is my favorite of her albums - good performance, excellent sound quality. I really like the B-3 which shows up throughout the album.

David Sanborn - Songs From The Night Before

This is the only Sanborn recording I have on CD...my other four or five are LPs. I've really grown to like him...little harder hitting than some sax players. The opening track of this album has some very nice percussive beats which are sounding particularly nice on the system, this evening.

I'd also like to say thank you, Bart, for starting this thread...

Listening to . . . Tim Weisberg - Dreamspeaker

An LP recorded by A&M Records 39 years ago in 1973 - and regularly played by me ever since!

Tim Weisberg (born 1943, Hollywood, California) is an American jazz/rock fusion flutist, composer, producer, and vocalist. In high school, at his first music class, because his last name was at the end of the alphabet, he was last to pick an instrument. All that was left was the flute and the bassoon. He picked the flute because it was easier to carry, and because the flute section was all girls

I also think Ray Brown's Soular Energy is a must have as well:

There are tons that are great but I tried to keep it to the ones that seem to get a lot of playtime on the CD spinner. Will compile a separate list for vinyl later
