Ultimate Stradivari upgrade!
4 Attachment(s)
I recently had custom Granite Bases made for my Strads. These will enable me to float the Base and Strad speakers on Stillpoints. Each Granite Base weighs 78lbs.
Due to the uneven rake of the speakers, and feet; this is the only way to accomplish this. It will raise the speaker 4" which I will compensate for. Here are a few photos of the Custom Bases, and how the Stillpoints will attach. I may very well use Ultra 5's instead of the Ultra SS that is shown. http://www.audioaficionado.org/attac...1&d=1460662212 http://www.audioaficionado.org/attac...1&d=1460662218 http://www.audioaficionado.org/attac...1&d=1460662223 http://www.audioaficionado.org/attac...1&d=1460662228 |
Very nice!

Damn you! ;)
How will you compensate for the added height? Raise your chairs up on Stillpoints. Ha! ;) |

Ivan.......Believe it or no, I kind of like that chair.

Added hight aside...WOW, what a set up!

Interesting, looking forward to your review

Wow...those are cool!

Even without the Stillpoints, the granit base is a nice upgrade for the Strad.
I have my Elipsa on such a base and it does improve the sound mainly cleaner bass. I never thought of putting Stillpoints underneath but that's something I need to explore ! Amazing idea ! |
