Hooked these beasts up yesterday. Will have more to say in a few weeks but my goodness do they sound ridiculous! Detail is phenomenal...I can hear each and every single brush on a brush drumstick rapping the snare. Voices are so smooth it is almost scary real. Soundstage is wider and deeper. Only drawback thus far is seating position; sweet spot has shrunk and I notice it more when someone walks through the speaker's path to me.
Quick iPhone pic...more to come as I break these monsters in. http://www.audioaficionado.org/attac...liss-image.jpg |
OMG Mike - they are gorgeous! You have reached the stratosphere of amps! Wow! I'm so happy for you my friend. You have put together a phenomenal system. A big big congrats!!

Gorgeous stuff, Michael!

Thanks everyone. I knew they were twice the size of my 160.5s but they are a bit overwhelming now that they're here. I'll have to move things around when I figure out a plan...the Bryston amp is completely dwarfed! Haha.

That is one outstanding system you have there. Keep us apprised of how they sound and how much heat they generate too. |
