Aurender N100H Is In The House - Transferring Music Very Slow
Just received my Aurender N100H.
When transferring music from my external USB HDD to the N100H HDD it is extremely slow. In 8 hours only 28GB has been transferred. So in my calculations to transfer a little over 3TB of music it will take over a month. What gives? Is this normal? |
Unfortunately, that was my experience too. :sigh:

Paul.......Why not ask the folks at Aurender?
support@aurender.com I transferred my music files by the drag and drop method so no clue why a USB drive transfer is slow. I would start by asking tech support at Aurender. |

I had a few questions and they took 2 days to respond, but did respond in detail - thinking this was an exception from everything I have read on how quick they respond - curious on your outcome. Overall happy with the unit, but wish the power button was the same color as the 3 display options - IMO would blend better. |
So far no response but no worries. I'm sure I'll here from them soon and then I'll report back.
|
It's just 24 hours and only 83GB transferred.

Wow! Their ears must have been ringing. Just received a response. See below.
Jesse replied: Hello Paul, "Thank you for contacting us and for choosing an Aurender music server. One of the engineers checked your unit and everything looks normal, he said the connected disk is USB 2.0 so it will be a little slow, however 28.0GB in 8 hours is abnormally slow. Usually, using the Smart Copy process, this amount of data (3TB) would probably take about a day to transfer to the Aurender. Would it be possible for you to send a screenshot of the Copy Status on the App? You can take a screenshot with the iPad as shown at the link: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT200289 The Copy Status can be found as shown on the last image at the following link: http://support.aurender.com/smart-copy-from-usb.html Also, would you mind sharing which dealer you purchased the N100H from and which DAC you are using with the unit?" Best Regards, Jesse |
