Vaultek VT20i Gun Safe

Just got this today; it is already my favorite gun safe. Once programmed, it has four ways to open it: Key, Biometric, Code (user selected) and Blue Tooth App.

The app is really awesome too!

Looks good...can the biometric be programmed for more than one person?

Got mine today. Very well engineered with some really great features. They put a lot of thought into it when they designed this safe, that’s for sure.

Glad you like it!

Looks like they offer an optional "one touch" remote open button for it

https://www.amazon.com/Vaultek-Acces...H6EHCNYNQFE9EE

Cohibaman 01-30-2019 12:06 AM

I actually looked into that remote, but unfortunately it’s not available for the VT20i.

You’d think the VT20i would be part of the “VT” series with VT right in its model number, but it’s actually the “20”
series.

I’m sure they will make a remote open for it soon.

Ivan, could you explain what you mean by "I have mine hard wired"?

Power? cable to secure it?

The safe has an internal rechargeable, lithium-ion 18650 battery. depending on the battery capacity and usage, a charge will last 1-2 months up to 6 months. On the outside of the safe is a micro USB connection for recharging that internal battery. The safe comes with a cable and a wall plug that you can leave plugged in indefinitely to keep that internal battery charged.

Ivan,

I agree 100%!

I was very impressed with the VT20i so I decided to try the Slider too. They really knocked it out of the park with this one.

It’s so inexpensive for what it does.

When I first received the VT20i, a fully charged battery lasted 3 months or so. Quite impressive. For the last few weeks however, the safe has been draining the battery very quickly. I swapped batteries to see if it was a bad battery, but the replacement also drained quickly.

I sent an email to Vaultex tech support and within 3 hours I received an apologetic reply with a Fedex label to return the safe for evaluation/repair. They indicated it should take 1-2 days to turn it around.

So far I’m impressed with their customer service. Hopefully it comes back quickly and working properly.

I run mine on the AC adapter.
