I bought my n-10 sight unseen and based on your recommendation alone. It is a great piece of equipment, easy to set up, wonderful sound and first class user interface. Zero complaints on my end

jdandy 07-23-2017 09:13 PM

Mike.......Sight unseen on my recommendation. Phew, that's a leap of faith. Glad I came through for you. :p

Post a photo of the N10 in your system when you get a chance.

I was considering the same, based on your review. Looks like we trust you Dan. ... now I may be holding out for the Esoteric n01.

David.......Wow, we have Aurender N10 music servers coming out of the woodwork. Two N10's, I'm envious.

I really love the look of my silver N10, bit I have to admit the black one looks mighty good.

Mike.......Hmm. :scratch2:

Yes, I immediately noticed the Gato Audio AMP-150 idling by in the corner. That is a fine integrated amplifier. Looking forward to watching and reading about your sound room as it develops. You are off to a great start.

Great pics! I am going down to Baton Rouge Sunday to meet a dealer to demo the Aurender stuff.

Got a feeling I'll be joining the club soon. ;)

I am 99% certain my 2017 income tax return will be used to buy an A-10. Will be part of my home theater while I slowly build a dedicated two channel system over the next 3 years.

Steve.......That is a fine way to make that tax refund last for years and years. The Aurender A10 with its 4TB hard drive, 120GB solid state drive for playback cache, with a built-in Full Decoder MQA DAC able to play back and display information from TIDAL Masters files, the Aurender A10 music server/DAC will deliver state of the art performance from its 32-bit/768kHz dual-mono DACs. The A10 supports TIDAL Masters streaming, and plays up to 2x DSD, while providing seamless and intuitive control with the Aurender Conductor app. Can't wait to read your review.

Are you considering the silver or the black?

Tim.......So, how did the Aurender auditions go in Baton Rouge?

Timobi 08-21-2017 05:21 PM

Went great...I posted a little in the "Decisions' thread I made but I am going to purchase a N100h. I didn't want to clutter up this thread though. But yeah I should be a certified Member of Club Aurender soon!

"Well I had a nice visit from Audio Philosophy yesterday. Very detailed conversation. Probably the first time a knowledgeable Audio guy actually sat me down and asked questions. Then based on needs and wants he made recommendations.

Based on my horrid interconnects/stock Power cords, I am going to purchase the Aurender N100h and get some proper power cords/power distribution, and USB.

We made a priority list. Some of it will be an evolving process. We all have our limits but also don't want to settle too much.

Going to order a Black N100h. And replace my stock PCs with Shunyata.

Yea the n10 is probably better with the SPDIF connection BUT I think I BADLY need to upgrade my power sources. I can always trade up to the N10 if I need to.

So there it goes. I'll post back later with more thoughts as stuff starts coming in.

I appreciate the good feedback and advice and PM's. Truly do. "

:)

Tim.......I read that post. Was curious to hear about the actual audition and your impressions of the Aurender music servers. Did you get to hear both the N100H and the N10?

Dan, I am thinking the silver. Should be a great centerpiece of my system.

Timobi 08-21-2017 09:48 PM

Hi Dan,
Didn't get to hear the N10. Dealer didn't have one. But listened awhile to the N100h.
One disclaimer: so hard to compare Audio on equipment you don't own or familiar with.

But we played songs I knew inside & out. The aurender delivers such a quiet background & details were more audible. I LOVE Fleetwood Mac 😎
I heard things & layers that I only have heard on my coveted vinyl.
Im sure some of the quiet background & lack of noise was attributed to his entire setup but I was impressed with the way digital sounded. No harsh or edgy sonic nature.

I'm sold on Aurender.

The Aurender app is also just damn cool & easy.

Steve.......Great choice. Love the silver. I chose the silver N10 because it mates perfectly with the Esoteric K-01X below it.

Congradualations ! The first thing you will love about your Aurender is how easy it is get it setup and going. That was my clue that i would really like this product.

Tim.......That is the C1000C Controller for the solid state C1000P Preamplifier on the shelf below it.

Here is a closer look when I had the C1000C/P in the living room system.

How easy is it to transfer ITunes and uploaded CDs from Ipad and Macbooks to Aurender? Can it be done via wireless network or do you have to directly hook laptop up to the music server

phishphan 09-01-2017 09:19 PM

Well gents, today I made a big leap forward in my set up. Not only did I order a 8tb Aurender N10, but it痴 going to be feeding a new Esoteric Grandioso K1 that also got ordered today. I cut a remarkably good deal to buy them and couldn稚 hold myself back. After stalking both this and the Esoteric forums for the last couple months, I finally made the leap.

The Audrender should be here next week, and the K1 later this month. The N10 will be hooked up to my BDA3 until the K1 arrives. At that point I値l put the bryston combo on the marketplace.

jdandy 09-01-2017 09:31 PM

Kyle.......Holy mackerel, you jumped into the deep end of the pool. Congratulations on two spectacular choices that will most certainly bring you premium performance for many years to come. I'll be watching for your reviews.

I did a Triple Lindy into the deep end!

Going any higher up the food chain now requires stacks costing 6 figures. Which is way outside of what I’m capable of spending

Can't wait for your impressions of N10 vs BDP-2, maybe it's time I go" back to school".

phishphan 09-02-2017 10:50 AM

Club Aurender

Neil - I知 actually very interested in that as well. I know without question the K1 will smoke the BDA3...it better for the price tag. But I知 interested to see what the N10 will do. As I mentioned to you offline, the bdp2 was a huge improvement over streaming off my Oppo. I知 hoping for the same increase with this update
