Broke down and bought a Fuji X-T1

I bought a Fuji X-T1 today, I had the opportunity to see David aka 1KW a few weeks ago and was very impressed.

Ivan.......The Fuji sensor and glass are excellent. The small form factor makes carrying the X-T1 easy. Post some photos from it when you get a chance.

Ivan,
What lenses did you pick up? With the new XT-2 now out, the XT-1 is a screaming deal.

Congrats Ivan, the XT2 is arriving in stores now. Either way I am sure you will be happy with the XT1. What lens did you order it with ? Did you get the vertical grip ?

Are you jumping ship with the Nikon?

Ivan, congrats, you'll be very happy.
My wife Meta says it is superior to her Canon in all aspects but one: shooting objects that are moving very fast.

Ivan there may be a new firmware upgrade to your camera, check the fuji support section on the XT1 website which helps to improve focus speed. I recently traded my 18-55 F2.8-4 for the 16-55 F2.8 but I would not say it is a good travel lens. My favorite walk prime lens that I have are the 35 F 1.4 good for portraits ie very good bokeh and good walking around lens. The 27 mm pancake is wonderful small when you want to travel light without the grip and is terrific if your going out to dinner and want a few family pictures. The 14 mm F 2.8 was my go to wide angle but now that I have the 16 mm on my zoom I doubt the 14 will see much use, so I may trade it to get something else. What made you buy the XT- ! vs the new Xt- 2 which just came out ?

By the way with the right lens, the Fuji XT-1 will take better, sharper more saturated pictures than your nikon full frame camera as it does not have a bayer filter. If you want give me a call and I can explain how to check your firmware level and how to upgrade it as well as some ideas for setting up your 5 program memory and some of the programable buttons on the back to change the things you use often. The XT-1 is a fun camera it renewed my passion for photography and I am sure you will become a fan. Which camera bag did your order for it ? I really like my ONA bag. One last thing, get a few extra batteries. These batteries also work in the XT-2 if you upgrade.
