1st 1,000 mile service for oil & filter change plus Recall ...
Greetings,
Just took my 2019 Audi RS-3 in to Audi Nashville for a 1,000 mile Oil & Filter change. Also the Airbag Passenger Recall. All went exceptionally well as I expected it would. I actually made an appointment ahead so I could get a loaner Audi. That way I would not have to wait however long it would take. My Service Writer was Christina Jackson and I chose her as she has years of experience writing service for Audi Nashville. Something that actually really impressed me was her asking me to walk out to where the RS-3 was sitting in one of the service drive through lanes. And the reason for that was she actually took her time and totally looked the complete car over which even included opening the hood as well as looking inside for "Any-Damage". Guys, I worked for New Car Dealerships for like 20-years or so. Part of what my responsibilities at one time was managing the Service Writers. It was amazing that they would NOT go over the vehicles with the owners so any and all damages could be Noted and Signed-Off by the owner. By them NOT doing what part of their responsibilities were cost the dealership in some cases thousands of dollars. We also did the samething with the Brand-New Audi Loaner I was provided with. I took pictures which I'll post below so you can see for yourselves what took place. I did the 1,000 mile oil & filter change just really for peace-of-mind. My RS-3 will not be a year old until May 2020 so I just wanted to make sure after the Break-in-Miles it has fresh oil as well as a new Audi filter. Just as a comment even though I was in a brand new Audi guys it was not even remotely even close to driving the RS-3. As you see I did tape my list on the passenger-side of the dash in easy view. https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...psetznpevc.jpg https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...psyvgg3ita.jpg https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...pszmeeht6g.png Just arrived with 1009-miles on the RS-3. https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...psji7kcpcc.jpg And this is Christina doing her thing. https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...pssdzdgzkg.jpg https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...pstx36apgf.jpg https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...psk1ciafh3.jpg My new Audi loaner. https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...pskkllfv4z.jpg https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...ps35awzewi.jpg https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...pshfv1dcbm.jpg Just arrived home which is like 9-miles from Audi Nashville. https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...ps47gca7n8.jpg As you see there is Cathy's VW Golf R she loves. https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...pslxmlnmwf.jpg Mileage on mine as I'm picking it back-up. They test drove it like 3-miles. https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...psfyqc9gkf.jpg My RS-3 back in it's garage and assigned parking space. https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...psw3dho982.jpg https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...pshr45mm7s.jpg https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...pskrcbj9qd.jpg Below are the Service invoices. https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...psnji0d2xh.jpg https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...pspuwqq2kg.jpg Terry __________________ https://www.audiworld.com/forums/sig...c335054_18.gif If it's not |

Hi Bart, Thanks and as always a pleasure hearing from you. Honestly I almost didn't do this post as it seems to me that this site is more about the extremely High-End cars. No big deal though it is what it is .................. Terry |

Terry - Please do continue to post about your car. To me, your Audi RS3 is a “dream car”. I have a 2016 Golf R and that is incredibly fun to drive. If I had the $, I would be looking at an RS3 or a new Supra. Those are my high end exotic cars that are somewhat realistic for me to own. Love all the Ferrari’s and Porsche’s, but will never be able to own. |

Like M-Series BMW's, AMG Mercedes, S-Series Audi's, Turbo Porsche, and of course a great many domestic performance cars. We also as you saw did purchase a new 2017 VW Golf R for Cathy that replaced her MCS she had. https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...psw9dywqke.jpg https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...ps784070e3.png https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...psd588c7b9.png https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...ps2c2a13da.png https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...ps22c87c35.png https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3d3daf19.png In my case I replaced my new 2017 Challenger Hellcat with the Audi RS-3. I can say that the GOLF R is just as much fun as the RS-3 in normal driving situations. The difference is when you pass speeds of plus 80 MPH-Up. The Golf R runs out of steam but the RS-3 is accelerating like a Stem-Roller. The RS-3 loaded-up to me is expensive for sure. Like $70K US dollars out the door. That's a lot of monies for really a Sub-Compact Sedan ......
