Is there any way to upgrade a Bat-51se to a vk-53se? The website does not offer this upgrade but is it possible?

Also, are there plans to upgrade the Bat vk-42se?

Hi Robert,

There is no such "official" upgrade on our price list, but if you contact us directly we might be able to work something out.

Regarding the 42SE - we always have things on our drawing board, but we only discuss them once and if they solidify and become reality.

Do the VK-53SE and the VK-33SE use the same output transformers? I'm trying to decide between upgrading my VK-32SE and saving up for a VK-53SE. That factor is one I'd want to consider.

Think I'm gonna upgrade my 32SE to the 33SE. The cost will be around $3500. That's a lot less than a brand new 33SE. I'll probably do the upgrade in the fall.

This is not really an upgrade, but I replaced all 12 of the aging 6 pack output caps in my VK-51se preamp with the newer version of the Jensen capacitors and the preamp sounds like a different preamp. I figure I was getting about 90% of what I am getting now in bass and dynamics. I bought them direct from Jensen.
