Phono Preamp for incoming VSi60

I have a VSi60 arriving next week and I'm in need of a phono preamp for it.
I have a VPI Prime with a SoundSmith Zephyr so I only need a MM preamp. My equipment resides in a basement/Home Theater/Man Cave that sees a fair amount of kid traffic, flying Nerf bullets, etc. so I don't plan on any $$$$ MC Cartridges in the next 5+ years.

While I don't necessarily have to stick with ARC, I'm think I would like to since I would like to stay with a tube preamp and I would like to to be made in USA or North America.

I'd also like to stay close to 1K (Used).

My options are a PH3 or PH3SE, PH5 or LP1.

I'd lean more toward the PH5 or LP1 only due to age.

The PH5 is a known entity but the LP1 seems to have very little information out there.

I feel like the PH5 is probably the better preamp but there are two things about the LP1 I like, it's a current model and by using a 6H30, I won't fell the need to be rolling tubes.

The VSi60/TBD Preamp will be replacing a Rogue 99 Magnum w/Phone and Rogue 88 Amp. (Hopefully)

dolsey01.......Take a look in the AA Marketplace in the Preamplifier section.

Here's an LP1 review: Audio Research LP1 Phono Stage - The Audio Beat - www.TheAudioBeat.com

I saw that, and have been considering it, but for about the same money I can get a PH-5 if I'm patient. That's my dillema. :scratch2:

I went ahead and bought the LP1. IT was too good a deal to pass up and it'll match the VSI60
