I have one of these sitting in quarantine, awaiting my attention. Will report on it when I can, if it doesn’t suddenly get retrieved by the dealer...

Very nice. What cartridge will you be using?

If it was the original, it would have been an AudioTechnica VM520 I think.

But the latest releases come with a Vertere branded cart that looks like an AudioTechnica.

The cartridge SHOULD BE Vertere’s new MM Magneto cartridge, based, as doggiehowser says, on the AT VM520. We shall see...

I should add that I intend trying a Hana ML moving coil cartridge to give the ‘interesting’ arm something to work with!

Looking forward to pic's and your review on all once you have the Hana ML broken-in.

The Hanas are a secret gem in Hifi circles. I swear they punch much higher than their price points suggest. Waiting for one of my two carts to age gracefully then replace one with the ML as well.

Ps I tried the microline stylus option on the VM5xx series and was amazed how good it sounded. If Vertere kept the same mechanical structure it might be worth swapping out just the stylus on the Magneto and trying the Shibata or Microline stylus.

What is the arm made of and how is it wired?

Many interesting features.
