I have the MSB monos, and they and thay are definately on the warm side of neutral. One of the warmest sounding amps I had at home. Very Class-A. Much warmer than the Vitus SM-011 monos I have on loan right now. The voices are so present and palpable that it is almost scary.

Is it possible that they had made some other system changes (like cables etc) than the amps itself ?

The Analog Domain monos are about 4-5 times more expencive compared to MSB monos.
I agree with you. The MSB monos are graeat and with wormth without getting dull, even in this Marten system.
It gets very near to what Analog Domain can produce. Analoge Domain had this wormth together with a bit mor open and clear bright feeling in the sound and more Power in the Music.
But as you say there is Always hard to realy know what is what because of other changes made. Small Changes in the acoustics is made to provide a little bit more bas power.
The MSB DAC is also apgraded.
So the sound I explain is the whole system together.

Unrelated to the thread, but I was curious on how the Vitus small monos sound in comparison to the MSB and especially Dartzeel?

Again I spyed on Marten.
This time I stumbled into Marten Coltrane 3. Built as Supreme II, but much smaller.
It performs surprisingly close to the big boss Supreme II.
It looks like Coltrane 2 but just the carbon back is the same.
