BEWARE: Stillpoints!!
 

A few weeks ago I decided to try out a pair of Ultra SS and Ultra Bases (in black) for a pair of Wilson Duetts I have in my office setup. That lead to getting more Ultra SS's for my PurePower 2000, McIntosh MC452, and McIntosh C50.. Then I found a deal right at the start of the new year, so got a dozen more Ultra SS's for another system... Then I found myself buy up Ultra Bases and Ultra SS's form others who were looking to move on to other things.......

Fast forward to today.... Got a shipment in from Ivan:

Now I have Ultra 5's on my Alexia's, Ultra SS's on my 1.2KW's, Ultra SS's & Ultra Bases on my MX-150, and Ultra SS's & Ultra Bases on my PurePower 2000... And I also have some for my D150, my modified Sonos, and Oppo.... To make things worse (or better?) I have even more on the way...

I do this as a warning!! BE CAREFUL WITH THESE THINGS!! They are insanely addictive!!!!!! :)

I dont get how these do the Voodoo they do, but its awesome! I was on a roll installing these things too..... I ordered a flat jack I read about in another thread, but it hasnt show up yet so I manhandled doing all these by myself.. Finally had a use for all the time I put in at the gym! ;)

EDIT: didnt realize I was talking to LuJr! Is it safe to assume the "Jr" is because you are an "Ivan" too? :)

I have the first generation 1TB High Definition models with dual tuners, so its around 7 years old I would say. It has worked well for me this whole time. Only thing I needed to do was replace the fan, but that was an easy fix. I dont have experience with any of the newer models but I have 4K TV's now so will most likely have to make a change once thats widely adopted.

Wow that is awsome. I noted that you have put them 180 degrees "up side down" compared to my way. Have you been recommended to put them the way you do? I am not saying I have it the "right" way :-)
