Sure does.....that’s a lot of gear they have in there. Love the Avant-garde horns and the original Nautilus pair!

Yeah the Nautilus pair gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling. I have always liked those. At the time, they were sort of the definitive icon of HiFi, like a Lamborghini Countach or a Ferrari Testarossa :D

The video of the audio salon reminded me of the golden days of HiFi. We also had a mega audio store that grew from a small building to a two story monster with multiple listening rooms and packed with just about every brand from mild to wild.

It only lasted some years as they started pushing the big projector TVs and home theater stuff along the ultra expensive gear and that kind of killed it for the die hard audiophile they built their business on to begin with.

But we still have plenty of very nice stores within the PA/NJ/DE area

Looks like they could use some customers.

High-end B&M shops mostly dropped off the radar for me when they started requiring an "appointment".

I agree, it looks like they have created a magic place.
Regarding the Nautilus... you know what they say - never meet with your hero. They have always had a very special place in my heart. That is until I heard them at the Munich High End Show 2 years ago. All I can say is that in that setting it did not live up to its hyper-über legacy.

I agree and the Countach and the Testarossa were also a big disappointment when I tried to fit into them. I can still admire all of them as icons of their respective universes. :D

When I was just an impressionable teenager with an ambitious desire to be part of music and the culture, I would take my very hard earned money and run to the store to buy the Maxxel tape to record my vinyl on. Why? Beats me but I thought I would be as cool as this dude and have the same results from my all in one integrated stereo....

An awesome high end shop. While I do have a Mcintosh dealer 50 miles away, I would love a place to audition new equipment. I’d love to audition Wilson and Sonas faber, but I’d have to drive long distance or fly to do it.

That’s probably a major factor in my keeping my khorns so long.

JD - Hifi Buys here in Atlanta is now a Wilson Audio dealer in addtion to Vandersteen, Magnepan, KEF and B&W. Not too far from you if you're ever down here. Last time I was in they had the new Sabrinas, the Sasha DAWs and the Alexia 2s.
