Your Best Demo Material?

So I figured I'd be the first to jump in here with a start for having everybody give their best, say, FIVE, demo tracks you use for showing off your system. Please limit to MOVIES (music video's are a no-no, because well, Eagles Hell Freezer Over - DTS disc tends to own a lot of top-lists).

For the sake of open criticism of my fellow Mc'ers, I'll take the plunge first:

1) Saving Private Ryan - DTS - Omaha Beach
2) Star Wars Episode 1 - Pod Race
3) Fifth Element - DTS Superbit - Theater/Opera Scene
4) The Matrix - Lobby to Helicopter
5) Cars - Just about any race scene...

I should say that these are all DVD's, but BD is certainly welcome. Once I get the BD standalone, add the BD-R/ROM into the server, and get several 2TB drives to serve the media, well. Take a guess... :)

Ok - go ahead and tell me how much I am :smoker: the peacepipe...

For movies I like:
  • Master and Commander
  • Transformers
  • War of the World (scene in the begining where the ship comes up throught the street)
  • I am Legend (listening to the GT500 running through the streets of NY)
  • Ironman

All of those can get the ole PG lights a flashing!

All good choices, and I will add:
  • Mr & Mrs Smith - Fight Scene in house
  • The Golden Compass - Mortal Combat
  • Pearl Harbor - Attack Scene, all 30 minutes
All on BR of course.

At least Caligula had some historical significance. :D

Blu rays:

Kung Fu Panda. (Tiger escape)
New Hulk. (Battles)
New Batman. (Tons of low end sound)
(Believe it or not) Kung Fu Hustle. (Great sound, in Fight scenes)
All have my 2 JL F113's Bringing down the house! (And the neighbors)

+1 on Panda, Batman & Hulk.

Give Kung Fu Hustle another chance.
I know you disliked it.
I think it might have been the largest grossing foreign film, ever.
They shoot it like a B-movie, but its not really, when you watch it, whole.
Fight scene's sounds, are great, low hz to high, not just low Hz (subs).

Goofy mood helps. The sub sound alone, keeps you awake!

Anyone notice, you sometimes watch a bad movie just for the sound, or is just me??

The new king kong, scene of disarming king kong and another scene where he fights 3 T-rex at the same time with one arm.
