How NOT to ship McIntosh

Because this: https://s6.postimg.org/4qug8xltd/020...1E62AE7F33.jpg This what my cousin received after purchasing the integrated off eBay. The item was coming from Texas to the Bay Area, CA. What MORON ships a delicate piece of audio gear that weighs in excess of 75lbs in THAT?!?! |
Jon.......Oh that hurts to look at it. When it comes to McIntosh gear, no factory double boxes, no sale....period.
|
Ouch. That's a bummer. I hope he gets his money back.
|
I'm sure that will buff out.....
/sarcasm off I am at a loss for words and I feel like a small piece of me inside has died!!! I hope your cousin falls under the eBay protection plan as I doubt the seller is going to be good hearted on a loss this large.. Make sure you let us know how it works out for him. |
NOT cool. :icon_thumbsdown:
|
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why you KEEP your factory boxes and packaging now matter how much the Mrs. !%$#@*! and moans.

Fug!!!! That’s partially why I don’t want to ship my stuff to audio classics for refurb. I have original boxes for some of my stuff but it’s still sketchy to ship. UPS says 2 inches of padding on all sides of an item for insurance coverage. Found that out the hard way when shipping a train transformer worth $500.
