I'll go to the liberty of putting Debby's shot from today, here. I wish I could read one of those sticky notes:

Ooo Ooo I know I know!! :)

Ok you guys need to tell me how to post up the photos so they are large instead of thumbnails. I will be needing to post up several tomorrow

May I suggest (for those of you that have received photos of their system being built at Wilson Audio from Daryl or I) to post your production pictures too! :)

Debby,

If you don't have a Flickr or Photobucket account to use, then you can use the picture capabilities, right here, on AA. Here is the sequence:

Open User CP in new window (separate window makes it easier to toggle back & forth for inserting pictures in your reply)
Click "Pictures & Albums" on left side
Click "Add Album"
Create Album Title, Select Public, Click Submit
Click "Click here to upload pictures!"
Browse your files & select images
Click "Upload Pictures"
Click "Save Changes"
Click on an image, copy BB code, past directly into your reply

Hope that helps & I hope I got all the steps right! :D
Robert

Debby, thank you so much for the wonderful pics!!! This is really cool! Besides being able to get a glimpse into what goes on at the Wilson factory and how much effort and pride your team puts into your wonderful speakers, the pics will serve as an excellent visual memorabilia of my speakers being born at the Wilson factory.

It is so nice when a manufacturer goes an extra step above and beyond what is considered the norm in the industry, a human touch, a warm gesture of openness and friendliness and being "approachable".

I am very much looking to the delivery and installation day, a day that is very exciting for me and the countless hours my new "Wilson Theater" will provide!

Thank you again Debby!

chessman 12-13-2011 02:35 PM

Too cool. :)

Masterlu 12-13-2011 02:37 PM

Debby, that is great!

What a treat Serge to see pictures of your speakers being built! Thanks to Debby for sharing those!

BlueChiaro 12-13-2011 03:01 PM

Very cool for you, Serge! I wonder if you'll have them by the weekend???

Too bad Debby was in Mexico when my Sophias were being born. :sigh:

So Sorry!!! :tears:

A girl needs her Mexico time (was first vacation in YEARS with no kids - much needed time away) and it got me out of the bitter cold (high in Feb is usually in the teens - very cold!!).

But I did send you photos of what they would look like since you have the exact combo of color/hardware color as my father's Sophia 3's in his office! :D

Yes, it was cool to learn that my speakers were the same combo as your dad's, and I appreciated those pics! I'll be sure to check your vacation schedule before I order any future Wilsons. :D

Masterlu 12-13-2011 03:18 PM

Without proper pics, how do you know you are their Dad. :p

Hard to believe much work gets done in there, with all those cool toys. :D

You are in the clear for awhile now (minus CES) :D

By the way - Wilson Owners - if you are attending CES LISTEN UP!: I have put together a Wilson Owner's event the first day of CES - Jan 10th at 5PM in the Mirage. We will be in 2 of the Penthouse suites. We will have on static display the new XLF and another goodie for you

RSVP soon to researve your spot. With the suites being small, there will not be a lot of room - so I am limiting the number of guests. Hurry and sign up before all the spot are filled up (they are going fast!)

Please send me an email to debby@wilsonaudio.com to be added to the list!

Oh, I know! I have spent many, many hours in that office in: meetings, chit chatting with my dad, etc. Many fond memories! My mom's office is connected to it, too. Fun set-up!

Hey Debbie!

Just curious but what 3 colors combos come through the factory that you really like? Especially if they are colors that one would not normally consider...

What colors did you pick for your own speakers, grills, and hardware?

Josh

2fastdriving 05-15-2013 01:55 AM

Debby, will it be possible to get pictures of my Sashas being built?

Josh, you didn't ask me but if you have a smart phone, especially an i5, try the Wilson ap. It does a great job portraying colors you can hold up in your room for comparison. Wish I had that at the time we ordered. I have Dark Titanium with extra flake, and it's great, but I may have been able to get my wife to consider the black and a red shade that have a bit of red or green in them. I have matching grills and silver hardware.

That new ap has so much usable information I told Ms. D. Wilson that she should tell folks to "cut the crap and get the ap." She is far to nice to say that to anyone however.

Bob

junker 05-15-2013 05:14 PM

Haha. Nice! i'll definitely check out the app.

I'd probably have to admit that the Carmon Red with grey or black grills and silver hardware would be near the top of my list, but I'm really more curious what someone thinks who sees an infinite number of combos. What are the ones that you would have never thought would have looked amazing in a particular color? Particularly, if it is a color, or a custom color. Extra metallic flake would be awesome.

I could fly my Trojan colors with some heavy gold flake mixed into the Carmon red... ;p

I have had this pet peeve the last few years with almost every car being: black, gray, silver, sand, and white. Just soooo boring.

This color combo make me "tingly"... Could we get some gold ano hardware in the house?!

http://lotusf1team.com/local/cache-g...a8ec1222b0.jpg

How about Conda Green?? :lmao: I'm ready to rock the 70s with avocado green, or harvest gold. Remember how many more colors there were on the older cars... :/

Pretty Porsche. And the vintage Benz in white behind as well... that was the best color for that car. But, as with cars, if you go too far out on a color limb, it will have a significant effect on your resale value.

Enjoy the trip.

junker 05-15-2013 05:40 PM

Not sure about the white... I had a Saharagelb Typ 115 240D like this:

http://mingarasje.com/userfiles/olav/429.jpeg

I don't normally consider resale value since I usually buy things with the intent to depreciate them to zero. But you are right though.

Coppy 05-15-2013 05:58 PM

Sweet. As a former benz-o-phle, owned just about everything they sold... but my first was a 1969 220d. Maroon. Drove it 120,000 miles and sold it for more than i paid for it. Thanks to the gas crisis.
