Nos Amperex w/CJ ET3 SE

Just got an Amperex Orange Globe 6DJ8 steel pin w/halo getter for my CJ ET 3SE. W. Germany logo made around 1966-68. Anyone use this tube w/a CJ preamp. Currently I'm using the EH 6922 gold pin.:music:

Let us know what you think. I just rolled a NOS RCA black plate 6189 into my Class60SE with a pair of NOS JAN Philips 6922s and it transformed the sound in a good way. Would like to upgrade the 6922 in my ET3SE, as well.

Put in the Amperex and I love the sound. Smooth detailed. Bottom end tight and detailed, Hope it lasts for a long time. Playing Bluesound it eliminates a lot of the digital harshness.Great all around w/vinyl. Played the Cowboy Junkies and the harmonica just came alive.

Great. Please come back and give us an update in a month or two after getting hours on it.

Excellent tube. Smooth detailed w/out any harshness. Nice detail on the bottom end and a full non fatiguing top end. Best tube I had in my CJ ET3 SE.
