This deserves to be an active forum with exchange of experiences with setups, tube swapping and tweaks :thumbsup:

I have not gotten into the tube rolling yet, but I know I like the Tung-Sol over the Electro Harmonix it originally came with. (Snapper(s)). What kind of tweaks we talking about?

I don't own Manley but of the EL34 tubes I've tried in the past the Tung-Sol's are my favorite as well. :thumbsup:

Wasatch: I have tried Winged C and Shuguang Black Treasure in my Snappers. I am eager to test Golden Dragon EL34 next time.

By tweaks I have used with good results an RCA-to-XLR adapter. In this way the 300B preamp, which only have RCA connections, can connect with Snappers on the XLR connections. The main reason of better sound by this route, in my opinion, is by the XLR connections on Snappers having 4dB less gain.

I have tried different cables between the Manley gear and have gotten great results with LFD cables.
