Audeze LCD3's Impressed Me - pics added
 

This weekend was the first time I actually had the chance to slip on a pair of Audeze LCD3's. They were so impressive; and this is coming from an Ultrasone 10, Senn 700 & 800 owner; as well as many more.

My new Audeze LCD3's have already shipped. I have quite a few headphone amps to experiment them with.

The LCDs benefit from a cable upgrade ;) didn't Wireworld also produce some cables for the HD800? Might be worth checking to see if they can get one made for the LCD connectors. And run them balanced!

Ivan did you listen to the new Audeze LCD-X and compare them with the LCD 3's?

I've been wanting to try a planar magnetic headphone for sometime now, and the LCD-3 is high on list. I've tried it a few times at shows, but with the background noise makes it difficult to pick up on differences from the Sennheiser 800's.

Where is the LCD-X positioned in the Audeze lineup?

Ivan.......I am not surprised you found the Audeze LCD3's to your liking. I have read nothing but positive comments and reviews on that headphone. It will be interesting to read your impressions. I know you have several very nice headphone amplifiers to play with, too.

It is positioned in between the LCD 2 and the LCD3, but closer to the 3. The pricing indicates this as well. It is supposed to sound more neutral and apparently has a more spacious sound characteristic. Some prefer the X or the 3 depending on taste.
