Guarneri Tradition vs Electa Amator III
I sold my beloved Guarneri Memento that I owned for more than 11 years. It's time to buy something new. I also sold most my gears so am starting from scratch.
Has anyone heard the Guarneri Tradition vs the Electa Amator III? From my research online, the GT has a leaner and more neutral sound whereas the EA3 has a fatter and warmer sound. Room is 13" by 13". Normal listening volume is 75-80db, so not that loud. Haven't decided on amplification yet. Probably will go with low to mid power Class A or SS integrated amp. Any suggestion or experience feel free to share  |
A few years late but my EAIIIs are the longest I have owned a speaker. Will keep them because I know they will fit well in my future “home”/facility. Although a bit bass shy with the right cabling they will surprise you. I went from WW Equinox 8 to the Eclipse 8 and the bad just bloomed. The room size is 15 x 18 x 8. Amp is MC1502. Love the synergy of my analog system upstairs.

The EAIIIs are beautiful speakers! I love how SF bookshelf speakers disappear in my rooms. Are you running a sub or subs with the EAIII?
|
Both sound great, but I preferred the GT!

I am using one REL Carbon Special sub with my EAIIIs.

Do you prefer the REL Carbon over JL with the EAIII's?

I haven’t had a JL Audio sub, yet. I may get one to use with my Nova 1. I have been very pleased with the Carbon Special. I am also contemplating a REL S/510 to use with the Nova 1.
