New MC1.25KW - Listening impressions
 

Who has heard the MAC: MC1.25kw ?

Of those who have heard or already own new amp:
What did you hear compared to MC1.2kw ? Given the 50% increase in filter capacity is there a tighter more defined bass?
Does the MC1.25kw follow in line sonically with the 452 and 601 ?

Might be Axpona before anyone hears them? None of the dealers here in Dallas I’ve talked to plan on displaying them. That said ... McIntosh or fine sounds group isn't on the Axpona Exhibitor list yet so maybe not??:scratch2:

My local dealer (Fargo ND) has a pair that he's currently breaking in. I plan to take a listen sometime next week.

I've got a friend with a pair that has had them a couple of weeks. He has owned 303,452 and 601's in the past and he says they are not voiced exactly like the other three so far but they are fresh out of the boxes. They should change to some extent with time and proper gear matching.

I am installing a pair on Monday, I will post my impressions.

Ivan what speakers are you going to be matching them with?

These will be driving Sonus Faber Lilium.
