A3 Price Increase
Just got a call from my dealer and asked if I was still interested in the A3. Said they just received two sets for immediate delivery. With the popularity of this new speaker and demand he said coming Feb Magico is raising the price to 12.5K. Tempting but no room currently for another set of speakers. So if anyone is on the fence I guess now would be the time to by.

The price rise applies to all new orders starting from yesterday. Prior orders not yet shipped are still the same price. Existing dealer stock should not be affected.

Magico A3 price increase
For some reason these folks that run these audio companies have it all wrong it seems that if your product is selling it should cause the prices to be lowered since you are able to buy more raw materials at reduced prices due to greater quantities, your manufacturing costs should go down, your packaging costs would be reduced due to greater quantities, etc., etc.
What gives????? I heard a price increase of around $2500/pair. |
Just wait 6 months till they are all being traded in for the next best thing!

we need to drive the market, we need to stop buying latest products, if you are happy with what you have, keep it longer, don't trust too much with reviews of latest product always better then previous model.
too much traded in 2nd hand in the used market will bring down the price of used product and our speakers worth nothing, the cost to upgrade is too much. when manufacturer have too many new stock, then they have to bring down the price. |

Magico has a big backlog of A3s. Their margins on the A3 are reportedly not large. Most economists would agree that this would be a good time to raise the price (demand far exceeds supply).

What do you think will happen if we stop buying the “latest” products?
-life still goes on, more cash in your bank not debt on your credit card. Will prices go down? R&D will flourish and products will be better? Will companies get stronger (or even stay in business)? -companies will need to be competitive and innovative to be exist to have better product with the right pricing in the market. Now if you are talking about high demands for a particular product, they can drive the pricing as they like, unless they have competition that has better quality and cheaper on the market. What do you do for a living? Do you need to eat and pay bills on a regular basis, or only once in a while? This is the way capitalism work. You want to play you need to pay  -eating/pay bills comes on the top while audiophile gears are probably on the bottom order. I direct where my money goes. I will probably settled with my M3 for a very long time. |
Always fun to read a good spar 🤺
