How many times have we each said these words???

My dealer recommends a 97 db 6 ohm Cessaro horn speakers, while I'm also eyeing trenner & friedl at 93 db 8 ohm. I will post back my impressions after I have auditioned both.

don´t forget Line Magnetic 555 - based Speaker concepts. The art of musical involvement - when driven by Shindo amps - is the most fascinating available(I`m sure there after using Shindo almost 25 Years with many different speaker concepts).

After much consideration, I think the WE300B limited will suit my interests most. The trenner & friedl RA box at 95 db and 8 ohms and Devore O96 are short listed. I have a chance to audition the former, and chances are I will love it as I already like the smaller sibling pharoah, but can WE300B drive it sufficiently? The Devore is not represented where I am, but I can purchase direct from John himself. On paper, Devore 096 seems like an easier drive, but I have concerns about placement, it being rear ported. I am not willing to take a larger footprint speaker than these 2, appreciate any advice or other options. Thanks

Why are you not also looking at the LM755i?

I need something with smaller footprint due to space constraints. The T&F and Devore models are the biggest I can accommodate.

My personal opinion is that it makes no sense to purchase the flagship amp, which is designed for large, 16ohm horn speakers with your desires for small 6-8ohm lower sensitivity speakers. Its like a Ferrari in traffic. Go for something like a Montille 391. Better suited for your desires and a more appropriate power output for your interests. Also more in line with your preamp. Don't forget to use the correct cables and a matching analog source.

The footprint of the LM755i is 13"x19"x37" versus the Orangutan which is 12"x18"x35.5".
Not sure how this is really all that different.

Best advice you could get. How often does a distributor tell you to buy a way less expensive version of a product they sell. Jonathan will not lead you astray.

How about the auditorium 23 hommage lm755. Rumour is it is fantastic and works very well with the montille. Considering Keith builds his speakers around shindo gear it is hard to go wrong.

I love these speakers . I use them with both a Haut Brion and cortese . It sounds fantastic

Thanks for all the advice. Given that most high quality 300B SET would be happy with a 95 db , 8 ohm 2 way speaker, am I correct to say that Shindo WE300B needs an even easier load compared to similar amplifier from other brands?
