Do you drink expensive wine?

Let's define expensive by costing over $100 a bottle & champagne counts too.

My father and brother are both big into wine, and sometimes when one of them brings the wine, we have wine that sells above the $100 mark. Sometimes well above. And most of them are fabulous.

However, for myself, I do not spend over $40.00 or so at a restaurant and $20.00 or so at the store. Although I have had some great expensive wines, there are so many great wines for $20.00 and under I do not see the need to spend more.

$35 a bottle at the liquor shop is my limit. I currently have a half case of Conundrum in my chiller.

Any wine that comes with it's own brown paper bag, and has a vintage date of at least Thursday is fine with me

Almost every bottle I drink is over $100.

Not at home but it would not be unusual in a restaurant.

Since I buy alot of my wine here : pawineandspirits.com: Buy Fine Wine, a Wine Gift, Join Clubs Online

The state of PA has a monopoly selling wine in the state so they have terrific buying power. A few years ago they started something called the Chairmans selection. I am now spoiled because it is not unusual to buy a $100 of wine for $35 here. I have several bottles worth over a $100 that I purchased a few years ago and have sitting in my wine room that I picked up for $30-40. When they have these kind of deals every few months I will buy a bottle to see if I like it and then go back for a case. They also allow out of state people to order on line.
