Ivan, your system looks great as always.
I am now thinking that when your cables are that neat even dust stays away :-)

2fastdriving 01-06-2014 05:00 PM

I can just see his cleaning lady's expression when she sees all that...probably runs out of the house screaming.

I'm sure you have a cleaning person, Ivan...do they dust your electronics/speakers/etc? Any trust issues there? hehe

So....if every room with A/V equipment is "off limits", what do you pay her to clean? The porch? The driveway? :scratch2:

It's a very large 3 story. ;)

EfeTe 01-06-2014 05:44 PM

My goodness, what organisation mate!

I have a modest Omnimount Echo A3 and just stick every cable and stuff in behind using its cable management avenues and that's it. A mess really :)

2fastdriving 01-06-2014 05:49 PM

All kidding aside, it all looks beautiful! You sure are a walking, talking advertisement for Wireworld!

Masterlu 01-06-2014 05:56 PM

Thanks Gents... It is a big pet peeve of mine to route cables neatly. From the front cables are rarely seen; Tim Crable from Esoteric asked me if my Esoteric rig was Blue Tooth. :o

I'll add pics to this thread as I find new angles to take them from. :ok:

Masterlu 01-06-2014 06:01 PM

Another thing that I did recently was add 3 black HRS DPX damping plates to the top of my three Burmester 911 MK3 amps. Aside from providing a slight improvement in micro dynamics, it filled the visual gap and hid the cables connected behind them. ;)

I'll post a pic here when I get a chance.

dkrm 01-06-2014 06:04 PM

I bet all those cables worth and weigh more than my system. LOL. Really awesome Ivan.

As impressive as these photos are they pale in comparison to the real thing. The catwalk is mesmerizing. But when you go around to the front and there is not a single wire in sight, it is astonishing. Awesome job, Ivan.

Glad you asked... I purchased them from a jewelry furnishing supply. You may find them on the bay. I didn't want anything that would draw attention to itself.

tima 01-14-2014 01:01 AM

I'm a little surprised each cable doesn't have its own passive RFID or equivalent. Then you could ask for identification, version number, install date, de-oxidation schedule, etc. etc. TIC

When you visit the iconic M&M Mega Store in Leicester Square London, there is a wall of a perfectly aligned rainbow of colors. He was in OC Heaven!

We spend so much on cables, they should look just as good as the rest of your system!

williamchc 02-22-2014 01:12 PM

WOW, the M&M Mega Store is so COOL!
So many cables, O_O, can't calculate how many hours needed to clean the contacts....

P.S. if possible, interconnect should better stay away with powercord to reduce interference, that means no direct contact. Perfect condition should be all cables stay away with each other, but that's difficult.

Being a single dude, I don't give a shit what they look like. Any art deco conscious folks can PM for advisement on how to make theirs look this good.:nono:

Ivan thank you for the pictures. Those are great and shows the level of details you went through in each system.

Quick question, what do you do with extra length ? Even though I try to get the best length, you often end up with some extra or a lot. I don't know what the cleanest way to deal with them is.

I coil each cables extra length, and keep it hidden under the rack.

I would have to check when I return there.

miketuason 02-23-2014 03:10 PM

Is the ENM hour counter resettable?

This model is not resettable; others they make are.

No worries Ivan, I found the model number... it's the T47A1. The data sheet says data is stored in an onboard memory chip powered by 2 internal batteries and data is lost when battery life is ended. Does this mean it goes back to zero?

Probably, although I've never had one fail.

Transparent Cables do not make for tidy installations. That is one reason I went from racks to a cabinet for my sources and pre. Easier to hide the cables.

That a clean setup.

I'm using a cabinet as well, it's the mullet for audio: tidy in front, mess in the back :D
