But what if the choice was between the real chair or the copy with enough $ left over to purchase a power cable?
First world moral dilemmas!

Highly decorated WWII vet, went through the whole war all the way from Russia to Berlin, wounded twice, kept fighting against the Nazis like they all did until the last drop of blood and last breath. I remember him in his 70s as he would walk barefoot in the snow 2 miles each way with two buckets of water to bring the water from the mountain spring when he had running tap water in his house. He said it keeps him in shape. Then he would shovel 2 tons of coal that would be delivered and wouldn't not stop until he was done storing all the coal in the shed. Eames chairs.. HA!

An amazing generation. The shear will to survive. Those who've read the book Stalingrad know what I mean.

Haven't read the whole thread; often wondered abut these chairs--so 5 to 7K depending on finish. I could have another component or bike almost..lol. But it could afford me the opportunity to go with 2 pieces instead of 3 (computer chair, and an IKEA chair n stool currently).

Perhaps the most comfortable AND best looking chair I have ever sat in. Would love to have one for the listening room; however, I would be a bit concerned that the listening position would be too low. System synergy is important, you know! :)

I have two and I think they may be a tad low for my system, but overall, they’re just great. Look good and comfy. When I get the dedicated room, I will work on their height.
