Speaking of watches, a new watch that has really gotten my interest is the new Hanhart Pioneer One Limited Edition (limted to 150 pieces worldwide).

Hanhart has a legendary reputation for making chronographs; they were a supplier to the Luftwaffe with chronograph "flieger" watches and are famous for their stopwatches, as well. If you've never owned or held a Hanhart watch in-person, they are incredibly well-designed, well manufactured, assembled and crafted watches of the highest quality. Trust me....I've been so very close to pulling the trigger on a Hanhart for over three years now, having handled and worn them in-person at WatchBuys shows. The craftsmanship of a Hanhart is absolutely impeccable.

Here is a photograph I took at the WatchBuys Roadshow in SF back in 2015 of the Hanhart Pioneer Monocontrol chronograph (single pusher to active/stop/reset the chronograph function). I've come close to pulling the trigger on this beauty more times than I can say...what stunner.

A notable owner of Hanhart was none other than Steve McQueen who bought a Hanhart 417 ES flyback chronograph with his own money...
