Next time I'm in Akahabara I will take some pics. I'm in the market a DAP, so may need to head down there soon. I will put a collection of pics together of all the Japanese hifi shops and post them. I live here, so it will not be an issue.
|
https://goo.gl/photos/Fo89secca6CVYs8Q8 I have deleted most of my photos, but I'll add to photo album over the next few years. I will add record shops as well.
Of course the Tokyo Audio show will be an opportunity to really add. |
Love to see pics of the other stores that we missed in Akihabara
|
I have seen video's of some of those Japanese stores. One video showed a wall of Mac gear, rows of vintage Mac tube amps! I can only imagine what a vintage MC275 cost over there.
Thanks for posting the pics, now I have to clean the drool off of my keyboard. LOL BillWojo |

Cool pics -- like the JBL banner -- "HEAR THE TRUTH."
Roughly $51.50 for a 12 volt Gold Lion tube. Not bad considering how prices escalate in Japan. Best sir, Bob |

That is a lot of audio in a small space! Good to buy local.

Loving the Leben!

Does my recently acquired pair of Kenwood/Trio L-07M 150wpc monoblocks count as 'Japanese Exotica'? Would think so with their matched output transistors spec'd to 600mHz and Black Gate caps. Hopefully, will be just the ticket for the power hungry Canton speakers.
