Those Dali's are beautiful!
|
The newest reference additions to the Dali Epicon range. The reference level Epicon 8 & also the Epicon 2 to compliment the Epicon 6 which was released earlier in the year.
They do look great! How did they sound? I wonder if they will bring out a centre channel speaker... Great to see that they have gone back in-house with their driver manufacturing....kind of wants me to consider Dali once again after they dropped the ball with Euphonia which replaced my Grands. |

ditto how did they sound? |
They sounded good, very clean but somehow not as musical as some of the other rooms (which could have been due to factors other than the speakers).

Dali Grands + MC2301s make it very difficult for me to contemplate a loudspeaker upgrade. The move upwards would have to be momentous for me to justify... |

I agree. I have always enjoyed Dali's looks, sound and build quality.

I heard a pair of Epicon 2s today--the sound was amazingly clear and sweet. They were driven by a Moon Audio integrated amp and CD player.
|
I would love to hear the new Epicon series in person. I currently have the Helicon 400 MKII's and love the sound of Dali.

This is an old thread, but after buying a pair of the Epicon 2s and living with them for over 2 years, I can attest that they are very musical and detailed. My tube amp might help with the warmths/musicality.
