How do you protect from Classé feet?
I had my Classé Delta amps sitting on Salamander amp stands for several years and upon moving I discovered that amp feet left a permanent imprint on the surface. It’s a nice big circular mark with Classé writing and groves around perimeter but I rather not have it on my new, far more expensive SolidSteel shelving. Nothing seems to be able to remove it. It appears Delta series uses silicone pads on their feet which slowly “seep” into the surface underneath.
What do you guys use to protect your shelves? I was thinking coasters of some sort that can withstand heavy load or some kind of audiophile isolation pads that are not too expensive. |
avsBuddy.......Perhaps self sticking felt pads.

Stillpoints or Isoacoustics Oreos should do the trick[emoji6]

I use those! |
Available everywhere (home improvement stores, etc). We use tons of these.

Interesting, you guys are actually sticking pads to the component feet? Any issues with glue residue left on pads slowly sliding out?

Post It notes.
They stick to at least a small part of the foot. They stay on the foot. and can slide nicely if you want them to slide. I have used post it notes on dozens of feet to prevent marks. Some have sat on the post it notes for six seven years.. no problem, no marks. I stick the post it on the foot and cut around to conform to the foot. Works great. I have used blue and yellow ones. |
