LAMM LP 2.1 Deluxe

I have followed the LP 2 Deluxe thread with interest - however has anyone had any experience with the newish LP 2.1 Deluxe? I have recently got back into vinyl and will be using a Lyra Etna (replacing a Delos) on a Kuzma 4 Point. I am aware that there is at least one review pending, but I would be interested to hear from some owners or those who have compared the two. My natural inclination is to lean towards the newer model.

Will be using in conjunction with LAMM L2 Reference preamp and LAMM ML 2s amps.

Many thanks.

I have just noticed the thread by tima, but would like to hear from any owners.

Depend if you plan to do tube rolling or keep it stock. If you can get the WE417A, the LP2 will be a better sounding unit over the LP2.1 using the newer Russian tube. But if you are one that play only tube from the factory, go for LP2.1 as the stock LP2 tube is not very good.

I am interested too in this 2.1D, but being newbie to analog world.
understood that it has a fixed MC loading value.
So would you please give me some examples of what MC cartridge that has the value
to match best to this 2.1D ?

And without Balanced output, I guess connecting it to my ARC preamp using unbalanced cable will cause 6dB of preamp gain drop correct ?

Thank you
Toga

the build in step up are good but not the best. If you want great result, get an good external step up and you will smiling all the way.

Some top notch Step-up is the Kondo, Silvercore.

you lost 6dB on the gain but you gain more money in your pocket if you using a RCA transparent IC over the XLR version.. haha.

Today I went to Lamm showroom, they only have Lp2.0D for demo.
They said this sample is ten years or more old. ! With stock tubes.

With their system, Usher 718Be and Usher power amp. But I think I can still can hear
That LAMM' s delicious sound.

I think I like it. But I have to find the way to bring LP2.1D without having to pay for import duty.
Could disassemble body and declare as spare parts.

With average built in SUT, is this mean I should use MM instead of MC ? I don't want to buy SUT and other pair of
Phono cables (let alone Transparent! )

LP2.1D cost much less than Accuphase C27 that I also like. Hmm..

The build in SUT is still good, playing with a MC will be way better than most MM. But don't compare the cheapest MC and the best MM in the market.

Is there any chance I can have LP2.1 operation manual in pdf ?
Recently I have tried many phono stage preamps.
Surprisingly, LP2.0, with very old tubes. Made no hiss at all, just slight ac line hum softly.
Sound is also very nice. No gain problem into RCA input of my ARC preamp.
I like it.
Do you know the MSRP of 2.1 Deluxe version ? Not even Google can answer me this.

Thanks.
Toga
