Lyra Problem?

Hello

I dont know what to do......
Last year 10. of October 2016 i shipped my Lyra Delos to the Danish dealer, because i was beginning to run really low to the record.
He shipped it to Lyra for service.

Then i didn´t hear anything from him in some month, in January 2017 i contacted my dealer, just to get a status update, he didn't reply. This went on for some month. Then he returned and told me that it would be back in some weeks. Nothing happened and now this dealer has closed his shop and i dont know how to get in contact with Lyra.

Last thing that i heard from this dealer was that Lyra was busy and therefor it toked time. But is 11 month really what to expect and what can i do to get my Delos back, when the dealer is closed for business?

Shipped to Lyra in Norway or Japan?

Lyra says, if outside their distribution network? You can contact them directly at : lyra @gol.com

May want to start there or Norway -- depending on where it was sent.

Norway contact (I'm guessing is):
Norway
Oslo Hi-Fi Center
Mr. Henning Morken
Dronning Maudsgt. 1 - 3
0250 Oslo
Tel: +47 2201 0430

Best Sir,

Bob

Bob,
I've obviously nothing to with this, but your reply makes this a wonderful forum.
Thanks.

Thanks Tim -- like all of us -- I just happened to be the first post to Pierre's issue. Just trying to help someone who apparently is very frustrated and whom was taken advantage of by someone he trusted - his dealer.

Hopefully Pierre will be able to get in touch with Lyra and maybe trace this thing down. Hope so anyways.

Lyra has very severe criteria of dealers and will drop one in a heartbeat -- an example:

"Lyra distributors are prohibited from selling outside their contracted distribution areas. Transshipping will not be tolerated, and it will be the cause for immediate termination of distribution rights."

Best Sir,

Bob

Just thinking the same thing and then read Tims comment - VTB, always ready to help, simply selfless!

Excellent news Pierre -- I'm so glad for you Lyra has already responded to your email inquiry. Lyra is a first class manufacturer and their quick reply is a testimonial to their meticulous concern regarding their product & customers.

I'm hoping (1) Lyra finds the Delos or (2) with your documentation, should they not find it; they give you a new one. Please come back to this thread and update us.

Best Sir,

Bob

Bob.......Kind of makes me wonder what the contracted distribution area is for companies like Music Direct and Needledoctor. They sell Lyra cartridges on the web from sea to shining sea.

Dan -- Lyra Japan controls all distributors worldwide except for USA. Lyra USA (AudioQuest in California) where MD & ND get their products from has to entail a different agreement is all I can think of.

It'd be interesting to know if either outlet would sell a Lyra cartridge to an overseas buyer. :dunno:

Bob

Pierre.......I sure hope you have some sort of receipt from the now defunct dealer that states the dealer accepted the Lyra Delos from you for repair. I don't know if Lyra phono cartridges have serial numbers that can be traced, but if not it may become difficult to prove to Lyra that you presented the Lyra Delos to the dealer for return to the factory. I hope you kept all correspondence to and from this dealer. Best of luck getting this sorted out.
