Oops, the Sophia 3 were connected (via Transparent) to the wall encompassing some speaker cabling. It is very weird and uncomon to do this with ultra revealing speakers like WILSON... Moreover one S3 was right in the left corner. Overall, nice pictures indeed but rather poor speaker optimisation for proper listening.

The Sophia 3 was set up by Wilson's standard. Peter McGrath from Wilson Audio was there too. So I'm pretty certain the speaker placement was optimized.

Peter said for some rooms, Wilson Audio speakers actually sound better closer to the wall. It all depends really.

Since my pair of Sasha's were on casters and I marked off the floor after finding what I thought would be am optimal placement in the room for them, I was quite surprised after experimenting and wheeling them around the room into places none of the other speakers would work. They are simply amazing in terms of the depth and articulation of bass and not coupling with walls much at all. Both sets of Sonus Faber and Dynaudio speakers before them were much more sensitive to placement and excited the room much more with resulting bass bloat and overhang.

Yes, if Peter McGrath set them up, I am sure they
were quite optimized in that room.
