Room Design-Jeff Hedback

I have been tossing the idea of building a room for a while, and have been struggling on the construction of it. I keep hearing conflicting things on what to do.

I have heard about an acoustic guy called Jeff Hedback. Was going to hire him to design my room and give me pointers on construction of the room.

Does any one here know him or worked with him?

There is an interesting article in TAS "Building a Listening Room" by Robert Harley (April 2019). RH is building his own listening room for equipment evaluation and went into details in this article on what he did (room dimension, materials used etc...).

I’ve heard one of his rooms - it is really good. The room owner was quite happy with the room and process. Also discussed having him consult on a custom room for me, but haven’t moved ahead with the remodel. Will hire him if I do.

I'm very familiar with Jeff. He is fantastic and transformed my room good to great. He has analyzed all my room measurements (and several of my friends) and provided solid guidance on acoustic treatment selection, placement, impact based on speaker choice, etc. He can play as minimal a role as you like (measure yourself and send the files in for analysis) or do everything for you. He's very easy to work with.

If you go to "projects" on his website, you'll see some of the rooms he has worked on. Give him a shout. It's worth the phone call.
