3 or 4 Stillpoints under components?

I suspect many will suggest or assume that 4 are better than 3. But are they? When you put 4 in the corners, it is often the case that one corner has very little weight on it due to imperfect level ness, uneven heights, etc. For 3 in a triangle you always get even weight on each as you do with a tripod. I would think that might have some advantageous (besides saving $$$). Anyone want to chime in?

:lurk:

Interesting argument you make. I'm looking forward to the discussion.

Esoteric only puts three floating feet on the K01 and K03. Just sayin'

Since I have all my components cabled properly... I may look at Stillpoints now.

Use four for maximum benefit; the height is adjustable so you can get equal weight distribution.

My wife's Pro-Ject turntable has 3 (2 front, 1 back). Whilst it makes leveling the table a breeze, it is not as planted if you press down at a back corner!
