Thoughts on new restoration hardware cabinet

Any thoughts on whether this could work for a c2300 preamp and mc275 amp? https://www.restorationhardware.com/...Id=cat12340059

1. Could c2300 stay within a cabinet like this or does it get hot?
2. Would mc275 have to go on top or could it go inside?
3. Unit seems to be leather outside on top of metal. Any issues with this?

It’s never a good idea to confine tube equipment in a closed cabinet.

Thanks for the quick reply. Makes sense for the mc275. Thoughts on whether the c2300 could go inside? (I have yet to book this unit up)

I wouldn’t unless I had ample cooling fans.

Check the inside dimensions. Looks like the unit is 16.5 inches without cables and the inside shelf is 16.25 inches. This would mean you have to cut the back to get it to work.

This is a possibility thank you! Any other suggestions for a av racks that aren't fully open in the front and are at least 55 inches wide ( goes below a TV). I had the salamander synergy for 10 years but it looks dated and reveals untidy cables these days.

When the need for something such as this comes up, I always have them custom built to spec.

Thanks Ivan. Anybody you'd recommend working with?

I've had good experience with BDI and I believe Ivan can help. Many styles, well made and won't break the bank. https://www.bdiusa.com/entertaining
