SolidSteel Racks

1 Attachment(s)
Anyone have any experience, or own any of the Solidsteel racks? Particularly the HJ series or one of the 3 or 4 posted similar models? My Salamander rack works and looks OK but it was a temporary solution, until I knew where and what my equipment would end up. Want something that looks a little higher-end and is preferably a little more solid. These Solidsteel racks look decent for the money.https://www.audioaficionado.org/atta...8&d=1510881007

For about the same money I went with Quadraspire for one of my systems. Having 4 leg supports meant a lot to me; not to mention all the other benefits.

Ok I will definitely check those out too, see if they would work, thanks.

Looked at one of these in person today, definitely a decent rack, feels solid.

I have the solid steel Hyper Spike rack in a 5 shelf configuration. It is very solid.:D

I thought I read that the 3 leg version was being discontinued and the 4 leg version would continue. The third leg at the back could be in the way for easy connection of power cords and perhaps other cables.

That occurred to me I have to double-check that as far as I know they're still making it my dealer has pricing and it is on their website. Do you have the three or four legs version? I just looked some of my cables do fall in the center but the increased depth of this rack compared to my salamander would give me the leeway to maneuver around that column. Some of them might even clear easier because the corners are open in the back.

The power cord connection in the Middle of the Esoteric CD/SACD player makes it impossible to center the player on the shelf (at least with my Shunyata power cord).

Gotcha, it's definitely dependent on the depth of the gear as well as the thickness/flexibility of the cord you're using. Ivan I looked at the Quadraspire racks, including your post with the SVT2. They look good, is there any difference between the SVT and the EVO in terms of Sonic benefits? I have very strict requirements for overall height and spacing between the shelves but this looks like it could work potentially. And also if I were to do something like the SVT would I be able to do the top shelf in solid as I don't keep any equipment on there I feel it would look a little bit better. Looks like the Q4L shelves are identical in size to the SVT.
