Dual mono’s or dual stereo’s?
I would like to bi-amp my speakers ( Monitor Audio PL300).
One choice is to get 2 x 4b cubes and use each amp per speakers with one channel driving the lower frequency and other channel driving the higher frequency. Second choice is get 2 x 7B cube mono’s and use one per speaker. Which setup will result in best sound quality – dual mono’s or dual stereo’s? |
Hi Banter
Because the speaker has a built in passive crossover I would go with the 7B's. james |

Go with the one amp per speaker.
Not all speakers are amenable to bi, tri or multi-amping. Use two amps per speaker (Bi-Amp) ONLY if you can surgically separate the woofer section from the midrange/tweeter section by cutting wires in the speaker's crossover. |
