David.......Check out the Aurender ACS10.

From TAS: Aurender blurred the lines between product categories with a preview of its forthcoming ACS10, a device that not only expands the functionality of Aurender’s music servers but also erases the distinction between a CD player and a music server. Here’s how the ACS10 works. You insert a CD into its disc drive and the ACS10 rips it to the ACS10’s integral 8TB HDD (expandable to 24TB), gathers extensive metadata including the cover art, and seamlessly integrates the files into the music library on your Aurender server. The ACS10’s one-button operation (literally) is so much simpler than ripping a CD to a computer and then transferring the files from your PC to the Aurender. The large front-panel display provides a wealth of information, including the album cover art. The ACS10 also provides for easy metadata editing via Aurender’s excellent Conductor app. If you don’t have an Aurender music server, the ACS10 can function as a stand-alone CD player/server. The price will be $5600 when the unit begins shipping in September.

Tha's some impressive speed. Especially using the Nimbie. Almost makes me wish I have more than 1200 CDs. ;)

Glenn.......I suspect the video speed was accelerated to keep the ad to one minute. My guess is rip times will probably be similar to ripping using a computer, typically 3 to 5 minutes per CD. The Aurender ACS10 is multipurpose. It can act as an external storage for other Aurender music servers, and act as a stand alone music server and a CD player. That makes it even more attractive to those who may not have an Aurender music server. The ACS10 can fill the bill as a music server, CD ripper, and CD player. Simply connect it to your DAC and you are good to go.

Dan - am guessing you are correct. They can spin/read discs only so fast. That said, that ACS10 with Nambie is a really neat machine. Been looking at the Aurender N100H, but am thinking the Sony HAP-Z1ES may be the best solution.

I would only add that it is not a CD player in the traditional sense. A CD must be ripped and then the file can be played. (According to Moon-Audio).
