Owner of Accuphase DP900/DC901, please give comments

Hi,
I would love to hear from owners of DP900.DC901 on how these player
perform. How does it sound generally with CD and with SACD.
I am having a hard time choosing between Esoteric 02 Series Separates
and Accuphase 900 Series.
I owned Esoteric 03 Separates before, but never Accuphase player, just
and amps long long time ago.
I notice Accuphase 900 Series doesn't offer sampling rates up conversion
and PCM filter options the way Esoteric does. Power supplies also seems to be less exotic than Eso's 8 transformers.
Really thanks

If you are considering products at this price point I would seriously consider the Wadia Series 9 system. This three piece system consists of the 931 Decoding Controller (Transport) and a pair of 922 Mono Decoding DAC's.

Thanks, everyone.
Hi Wizard and Bart, I read them, thanks.. that make me really interested in Accuphase even more. Hope to hear feedback from Ozy here too.
And Jim, The only Wadia available in my home country is that little iPod dock.
Distributor said supreme CD players are really difficult to sell these day, so they didn't
import even S7i, let alone 9 Series, which I used to have my eyes on them.
9 also requires so many of power cords,I think they're 4 pieces rather than 3, also 96Khz limits and may be no USB ? I am also sure that by put each of them on separate shelves will be better than to stack them all together and that mean more expensive shelves and real estate required.
So I must research more on products that I can buy locally. $$$ from selling Esoteric was so little, 9 will be quite out of reach too.

I fully understand. From my recent discussions it looks like the 9 will be the last of Wadia's products to be updated to handle 192kHz.

Wow.. dealer delivered fast. they said units will sound better if leave them on for 3 days or so. This Accuphase really made lovely sound, smoother and more ease than anything I've heard. Also low level resolution is outstanding. However, they do made less bass weight than Esoteric 03 in DSD mode. . My complaint is that the display cannot be dimmed, or adjusted brightness in anyway and they are so small. Almost useless to display track names, I can't even read track numbers from 5 meters away.
These machines sound was like making DCS Puccini/uclock more complete, they have what DCS do well but add what DCS lack. Esoteric P03/D03 will never be as smooth and ease, but they make much more bass impact, bass from Accuphase is like
running in the background to make music complete rather than be the foundation to the music. Will try with Shunyata Anaconda CX again, now use AQ WEL for both Transport/DAC. Ok I think bass of this players were like when set Esoteric 03 in 176KHz up conversion, which they will have more compact and lighter weight bass while more extended and open up top. Eso in 176 mode cannot compete Accuphase in smoothness, however.

Your description of how the Accuphase compare to some other quality products shows why it is important for us audio crazies not to get to hung up on searching for "the" perfect product. What is important for some, whether it is bass, resolution, musicality, etc will not be the driving force for others. We have to decide which product delivers as close to the sound we want to hear.

oops.. Accuphase jump track on one disc and Soulution 540 on other disc.
Now only if I can find Eso 02 Series to compare..
Rightnow of all I tried, Accuphase and Accustic Arts make the most lovely sound..with Accustic Arts showed big hint of being tube. and Soulution 540 and Accustic Art are most punchy and powerful sound. Wanna try USB input but it seem to require a driver. I found a disc in the box, but don't want to open that plastic bag.

P.S.
End of this year Accuphase will introduced 40 Anniversary pure class A mono block, 200/400 watt at 8/4 ohm. Think Pass XA200.5 from Accuphase. That is interesting.
